Commissioner Leefson Speaks on Recycling

Dan Leefson, Marple Commissioner of the 7th Ward and Broomall Rotary member spoke to the club about recent changes in Marple recycling.

Collection of recyclables is now once a week. The reason for the change is cost driven. The township gets paid for the recyclables, whereas it has to pay to remove trash.

Residents are urged to visit the Marple Township website www.marpletwp.com and click on RECYCLING under the Department of Public works.

Listed are the do's and don'ts of recycling. Print out that page and place it over your recycling can. New recycling 30-gallon containers can be purchased at the township building as well as recycling stickers to put on any receptacle.
