Delaware County Council, the District Attorney and the President Judge invite Delaware County schools, municipalities, churches, businesses and residents to pause at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, for a Moment of Silence to honor the victims of the tragic act of violence at Sandy Hook Elementary School in the New England town of Newtown, Connecticut.

Delaware County officials will observe a moment of remembrance at 9:30 a.m. followed by the reading of the names of the victims in the Courtyard of the Delaware County Government Center/Courthouse complex in Media.

Members of the Delaware County community, wherever they may be at that time, are invited to pause and join in a countywide moment of remembrance, to mourn the victims and to honor our nation’s teachers and emergency responders.
