Kehler’s Cheerleading Recognized for Passion and Enthusiasm
BROOMALL–The Kehler's Dragons have added another National Championship Title to their list of accomplishments this season.
On Sat. April 21, they attended the Eastern Cheerleaders Association All Star Nationals held at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA.
The Senior Squad placed first in their division–capturing the Senior National Championship Title. The youth and junior squads also had great performances, and both squads were awarded second place, scoring higher than many other talented teams.
The teams are a part of the Kehler's Gymnastic Center, and while only in their third year as an All Star Program, they have made an excellent impression due to their clean, solid technique and good sportsmanship.
For this reason, they were also awarded the I.E.P. Award, which was presented to the program that event producers felt displayed the most Integrity, Enthusiasm, and Passion in regard to the sport of cheerleading. The Kehler's Dragons were selected for this honor out of 21 programs in attendance.
“Here at Kehler’s Gym we try very hard to place the girls first, and winning second,” explains Reggie Manley, Director of Kehler’s Dragons All Stars Cheerleading. “It’s great to win another National Championship, but what really gives us great pride is that the girls, the parents, and now through this very special IEP Award, even the greater All Stars Cheerleading community, recognizes that we have in a very short time managed to put together a different sort of program for cheerleaders.”
Peggy Jo Gilligan, the Dragons Head Coach adds, “We want every girl in our program to feel good about themselves and their team, every day that they are with us.”
Kehler’s Dragons in Broomall are currently accepting new girls of all ages and abilities for membership onto the Dragons Team. Parents of girls ages 3-and-a-half to 18 years are encouraged to call 610-359-9999 for information or go to mykidsgym.com.
