Act 537 Residential Meeting To Be Held Tuesday
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at the Newtown Township municipal building.
NEWTOWN SQUARE–Newtown Township residents will have a chance to further discuss and comment on the proposed Act 537 Plan on Tuesday night.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the township municipal building.
Supervisors had initially scheduled to vote on the Act 537 Plan at a meeting on Dec. 27th. However, after the urging of several residents to reconsider the vote at a Dec. 12th meeting, an announcement was posted on the township website on Dec. 21 that no action would be taken on the plan at the scheduled meeting.
A handful of residents raised concerns over the proposed plan on the Dec. 27th meeting. Many of the concerns involved the cost-effective analysis of the plan to which Richard Sokorai, township solicitor, responded that the engineers are doing a cost-analysis and the board will look into seeing how the township can accommodate those residents.
