Accused Burglars Face Additional Charges

Additional charges have been filed against two men accused in several Marple Township burglaries, police say.

Additional counts of burglary have been filed against two Delaware men accused in several Marple Township burglaries, police say.

Earlier this month, Daniel Eberly, 27, of Claymont, Del. and Gregory Karamedas, 68, of Wilmington, Del. were each charged with 10 counts of burglary in Marple Township, according to police.

Marple Township Police Lt. Matthew Richter said Eberly and Karamedas are suspected to be involved with multiple burglaries in Delaware, Montgomery, and Chester counties and additional charges are likely.

On March 20, Easttown Township Police formally charged both men with burglary, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property and theft by unlawful taking, according to Easttown police.

Physical evidence allegedly retrieved in Karamedas' vehicle during his Marple arrest, enabled the Easttown police to link the pair to three Easttown burglaries, according to Easttown police.

The police are currently in possession of items recovered in Karamedas' vehicle that have not been linked to a victim yet, according to Easttown police.

If you are a victim of a burglary and have not reported such, please reach out to you local police department for assistance.
