BROOMALL–On Oct. 27 at approximately 9:10 p.m., Marple police responded to Marple Sports Arena on Parkway Boulevard for a report of an assault incident that occurred inside the building during the Takeover concert.
Upon arrival, medics were already on scene attending to a 15-year-old from Drexel Hill. The teen lost consciousness after being struck and was transported to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
According to an employee, the teen who hit the 15-year-old was last seen running out of the parking lot with at least one other teen on South Parkway Boulevard toward Sussex Boulevard in the industrial center.
Police were able to make contact with the 15-year-old’s mother who told police that two teenage boys were slapping and provoking her son while inside the sports arena.
When her son confronted the two, something was thrown into his eyes or may have been spat on and then was struck in the face said the mother, according to the report.
The alleged teen involved was identified and is currently on probation. According to the report, he had been arrested on Oct. 26 for underage drinking.

Parents, Wake up! These TAKEOVER concerts should be banned and so should the scumbag promoters that are corrupting our youth to line their greedy pockets. The concerts are like "raves" for minors. Disgraceful. Shame on Marple Sports Arena.

I never let my son go to any event at the Marple Sports Arena. I used to go with him when he was younger and couldn't get in without an adult. I saw "Much" that went on in there and after a few visits I said "No more". We've never allowed him to attend any event held there. Yes, Parents.... Wake Up!
