Drunken Driver Strikes Multiple Vehicles, Police Say
The man was seen swerving back and forth between lanes and striking or nearly striking several vehicles, police say.

On Feb. 16 at about 6:43 p.m. police responded to West Chester Pike near Malin Road for a report of a maroon Saturn, driving recklessly.
Another driver told police she observed the vehicle swerving back and forth between lanes, nearly striking multiple cars and also striking another witnesses' vehicle, according to the report.
Police pulled the driver, a 50-year-old Philadelphia man, over and the man had trouble answering basic questions, and began handing the officer money when asked for his license, registration and proof of insurance, according to the report.
The man told police he had not been drinking and that he was coming from his sister's house in Springfield, according to the report.
Police spoke with two witnesses who had both called 911 and one witness told police the man struck a Jaquar on West Chester Pike prior to Media Line Road but continued on and nearly struck two more vehicles, according to the report.
Then while at a traffic light, the man allegedly rear ended the witness but drove away and then struck a third vehicle which was stopped at the red light when he tried to drive away, according to the report. Inside the third vehicle was a man, his wife and a child, who was transported to Bryn Mawr Hospital for evaluation, according to the report.
The Philadelphia man was transported to Springfield Hospital, had blood drawn and was transported to Marple Police Station.
