Dunkin' Donuts at Broomall Gas Temporarily Closed

Dunkin' Donuts located inside the Broomall Gas station is temporarily closed due to a sewage backup.

BROOMALL–The Dunkin' Donuts located inside the Broomall Gas off of Sproul Road and West Chester Pike/Route 3 has been temporarily closed since Monday.

According to Marple Township Manager Anthony Hamaday, the Dunkin' Donuts has been closed due to a sewage backup. Hamaday said there has yet been a cause to the sewage backup.

"It could be debris or towels that were flushed down the toilet," said Hamaday. "We closed them down because a portion of the store is a food establishment. We have to close it until they rectify the situation."

According to Hamaday, no health risk was determined with the food prior to the sewage backup. Hamaday said a contractor was at the gas station early Tuesday morning to dig out the sewer line.

"They will be able to open as soon as they complete the work," said Hamday. The Dunkin' Donuts may reopen as soon as Tuesday afternoon.

I gotta say... I love DD and frequent many locations almost every day.

This location is really run poorly. The staff doesn't attend to customers well, they are slow and the quality of food is bad. Donuts are stale, coffee is bitter and there are always flies buzzing around landing on the food.
