Worrall Elementary 5th Grade Fundraiser

• When: Sunday, Jan. 13 from Noon - 4 p.m.

• Why Go: Support the Worrall fifth graders by getting your haircut.  Haircuts (no blow dry), spray tans and eyebrow waxing available.

In The Next Room

• When: Friday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 13 at 2 p.m.
• Where: Swarthmore United Methodist Church, 129 Park Ave, Swarthmore
• Why Go: The MN Players, now known as Spotlight Theatre presents In the Next Room, a comedy about marriage, intimacy, and electricity. For more information or to purchase tickets, see their website.

Babe Ruth Baseball Registration

• When: Friday, Jan. 11 from 6 - 8 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon
• Where: Newtown Township Municipal Building 209 Bishop Hollow Rd, Newtown Square
• Why Go: For baseball players between the ages of 13 and 15 that wish to play Babe Ruth Baseball this summer.  You must have played in the area covered by Marple, South Marple or Newtown Edgmont Little Leagues.
• Cost: $125.00/player, Family cap of $185.00

Newtown Edgmont Little League Registration

• When: Fri. Jan 11 from 6-8pm and Sat Jan 12 from 10am-12pm
• Where: Newtown Township Municipal Building 209 Bishop Hollow Rd, Newtown Square
• Why Go: Registration for the 2013 Newtown Edgmont Little League season.

South Marple Little League Registration

• When: Saturday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. - Noon
• Where: St. Pius X, Gym hallway
• Why Go: This is the last chance to sign-up for the 2013 SMLL season in person. 
• Cost: $120 for 1 Player, $240 for 2 Players, $325 for 3 Players, $375 for 4 players, $425 for 5 Players

Gaming Club

Painted Words Chapters 1-5

• When: Saturday, Jan. 12 at 8 p.m.
• Where:Burlap and Bean
• Why Go:  Painted Words Chapters 1-5 tells stories through quotes, paintings and live music. Tara Endicott’s quotes inspired Wisconsin artist Nina Schmidt paintings. The quotes and paintings were then shared with songwriters who crafted songs to complement the art and words. There will be 34 quotes by Tara Endicott, 34 paintings by Nina Schmidt and 13 songs written by 14 local musicians, all unveiling their interpretation of the unique journey for you.
