Get Out: Mother's Day Teas, Cinco de Mayo, Flower Arranging

There are plenty of  mom-friendly events this weekend. Before Mother's Day hits, have a Mom's Night Out at Radnor Hotel for the launch of Main Line Parenting magazine. Bring your own tequila and enjoy a Cinco de Mayo celebration in Media. Then it's tea, crafts and colonial times on Mother's Day. Patch's Best Bets for the Week

Mother's Colonial Tea

Where/When: Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation, Newtown Square, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. but at 4 p.m. is the Special Colonial Tea, on May 7, Saturday.
Why Go: Stop by throughout the day to taste varies teas, coffee and apple cider. The special Colonial tea at 4 p.m. will feature varies teas, tea sandwiches and sweets. While enjoying violin music, you can also learn about the varies teas and Colonial Times at information sessions.

Junior Golf Clinic

Where/When: Paxon Hollow Country Club from 9 to 10 a.m. weekly, starting on May 7, Saturday.
Why Go: Children ages 7 to 16 can learn the basics of golf. No prior experience is needed and equipment will be provided. Golfers meet for five sessions and will be instructed by Daniel Malley, a PGA professional.

Middletown 17th Annual Community Day & 325 Anniversay Celebration

Where/When: Penn State Brandywine from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 7, Saturday.
Why Go: This event will feature musical performances, classic car show, fire engine rides, moon bounce, crafts and more. Don't forget to attend the 3rd Annual Wing Bowl too.
Pricing: Free admission to everyone for this event.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration

Where/When: Dos Gringos from 3 to 10 p.m. on May 5, Thursday.
Why Go: Enjoy a special menu of Mexican delights like tacos, flautas and empanadas. Bring your own tequila to mix with provided margarita mix or other alcoholic beverages.
Pricing: Cost of food.

Mother's Day Tea & Activity Day

Where/When: Wayne Art Center  from 1 t0 3 p.m. on May 7, Saturday.
Why Go: Celebrate Mother's Day with tea and art. Get creative and make Mother's Day cards and decorate picture frames while drinking tea and eating scones.
Pricing: $50 an adult/child pair; $25 each additional child.

Flower Arranging Workshop

Where/When: Wayne Art Center from 10 a.m. t0 3 p.m. on May 7, Saturday.
Why Go: Learning how to arrange flowers in this one-day course taught by Margo Bennett.
Pricing: $100 for members; $125 for non-members.

Mom's Night Out For Mother's Day

Where/When: The Radnor Hotel  at 7 p.m. on May 5, Thursday.
Why Go: This launch party for Main Line Parent's magazine will feature a silent auction, a fashion show by Bedazzled Boutique, gift bags and the most important aspect to a Mom's Night Out -- an open wine bar.
