The Marple Newtown Board of School Directors recently approved a contract with Villanova University for the purpose of graduation.

The cost to rent Villanova's Pavillon and Field House for Marple Newtown High School's 2013 graduation ceremony is $10,775 according to the license agreement.

The cost includes the facility license fee and all expenses associated with the event, including custodial, police, Villanova public safety, electrician, staging, ticket takers, ushers and other related items.

In comparison, Rose Tree Media School District will pay Villanova $11,375, for its high school graduation this year.

Marple Newtown's graduation is set for June 13.
