BROOMALL–Kish Funeral in Broomall was recently presented with the Commanders Award for Patriotic Service by the Marple Newtown Veterans Alliance at a Marple Township Board of Commissioners meeting on Nov. 13.

The award was presented by Commander of Marple Memorial Post 805 Dave Garvey, Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7390 Barry Reese, and Commandant of Marine Corps League #741 James Herbst. 

The award reads: 

In recognition of exceptional public service of major importance that contributes significantly to the accomplishment of the mission of the Marple Newtown Combined Veterans Alliance. This award is the highest level award. It is granted by the three commanders of the Alliance. This award is given in recognition of patriotic service or achievements by members of the Alliance and citizen supporters that contribute significantly to the accomplishment of the mission of the Marple Newtown Combined Veterans Alliance in recognizing our fallen veterans with honor and dignity.
