NEWTOWN SQUARE–With the recent announcement of Marple Newtown School Board Director Richard Sokorai's resignation, the Marple Newtown School District is currently seeking his replacement.

The last day to submit applications and resume to the school district is Wednesday, June 20.

Interested candidates must submit them to:

President of Marple Newtown Board of School Directors, C/O Administration Building, 40 Media Line Road, Newtown Square, PA 19073 or fax them to 610-723-3340 by Wednesday, June 20.

Sokorai's official resignation was publicized in the Delaware County Times on June 8. The school board will officially accept the resignation letter at the next board meeting on June 26.

In an interview with Sokorai about his resignation, Sokorai said he expects the school board to also vote in his replacement at the June 26th school board meeting.
