Mail Truck Crashes Into Benz, 1 Injury Reported
A US Mail truck and a black Mercedes crashed at the intersection of West Chester Pike/Route 3 and Church Lane.
BROOMALL–A USPS mail truck and a black Mercedes Benz collided Thursday morning on West Chester Pike/Route 3 at Church Lane in Broomall.
Responding Marple officer Sgt. Eric Naegele stated police responded to the scene at 8:08 a.m. for the two-vehicle crash involving two people.
According to Naegele, the female driver of the Mercedes Benz was going through a green light from Church Lane toward Berkley Road when the mail truck, heading westbound on Route 3, had allegedly gone through a red light and crashed into the Mercedes Benz.
The mail truck was en route to making a delivery, Naegele said. The female driver was taken to Paoli Hospital for injuries.
The accident caused westbound traffic to detour for approximately 30 minutes down Church Lane through the nearby CVS parking lot, resulting in delays.
Marple Police, Marple EMS, Broomall Fire Company and Newtown Fire Police responded to the scene. The Mercedes had severe damage and was towed by McGarrigle's Automotive. The USPS truck suffered minor front-end damage. A second USPS truck arrived at the scene.
The scene was cleared and traffic returned to normal at approximately 8:45 a.m.

Why is a small gas station from Springfield picking up a wreck from Broomall? Traffic was jammed because they had to wait for the tow truck.Whoever let that gas station pickup wrecks from Broomall has their head up their ass.

That tow truck was there waiting for the FD and EMS to be done with it. Know what you're talking about before you spout off.

Why would any company outside of Broomall have a Broomall contract?
