Marple Pizzeria Will Be Featured in TV Reality Show

Filming is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 8.

BROOMALL–A production company will be filming a television reality show in a Marple pizza shop on Dec. 8, Township Manager Anthony Hamaday told the Marple Township Board of Commissioners during a work session meeting on Monday night.

The filming will take place in an eatery along the 2500 block of West Chester Pike/Route 3, Hamaday said.

After the meeting, Marple Newtown Patch asked Hamaday if he knew the name of the pizzeria and the television show that would be filmed there.

The television show being filmed is a “restaurant-based reality show,” Hamaday said.

Hamaday said the production company has not disclosed the pizzeria’s name to the township, but there are only two pizza shops along the 2500 block of West Chester Pike.

According to Hamaday, the two pizza shops include Drexel Hill Pizza–located on 2585 West Chester Pike–and a pizzeria which is undergoing renovations. Hamaday said he did not know the new name of the second eatery. The other pizza shop on the 2500 block of West Chester Pike is Broomall Pizza, located on 2537 West Chester Pike.

Employees at both Drexel Hill Pizza and Broomall Pizza were unaware of any filming that was occuring at either locations when asked by Patch.

The owner of Drexel Hill Pizza signed a lease with a billboard company to allow a giant 14'x48' billboard to be erected at his pizza shop on West Chester Pike. He is NOT a good neighbor. Buy your pizza somewhere else.

He is ignorant and acts like he is doing you a favor letting you buy pizza from him. He is very cocky.

Dayum! All that from a slice of pizza? Sounds exactly like the type of guy ripe for a reality show.
