BROOMALL–The Marple Township Little League kicked off this year's season Saturday, April 2, at its Opening Day ceremony. Players arrived in uniform at Marple Presbyterian Church to prepare for the annual parade at 9 a.m.

Derek Ludwick read the Little League Pledge during the ceremony and the Tiger Tones of Paxon Hollow Middle School sang the national anthem. Reverend Karen Nelson of Marple Presbyterian Church and Howard Cylinder of Temple Sholom threw out the ceremonial first pitches. Other activities throughout the day included free Rita's water ice, pretzels, coffee and music. Play ball, MTLL!
