Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Meet Marple Newtown Patch's New Editor

Courtney Elko will attempt to fill Jennifer Kim's big shoes.

Hello, Marple Newtown Patch!

I'm Courtney Elko, the new Local Editor of Marple Newtown Patch. I may be a new face to you all, but I launched Media Patch, just next door, in December 2010. And now I will split my time between both fabulous sites.

Jennifer Kim has done an amazing job as your Local Editor since she launched the site in November 2010. Jenn is leaving us for love so we really can't blame her.

I'm just as sad to see her go, as I'm sure you all are. But you will still see her hanging around town and you will definitely see her name pop up on Marple Newtown Patch for a little while longer, before she ties the knot.

Having worked alongside Jenn for more than two years now, I'm aware of the large task ahead of me in filling Jenn's shoes. Fortunately, I'm no stranger to the area.

I grew up in Marple Township and graduated from Cardinal O'Hara High School. I live in Media Borough now but my parents are still in town.

I'm looking forward to growing Marple Newtown Patch and covering news and events in my hometown.

Also joining me will be Nate Adams as Community Manager, helping on Marple Newtown Patch's Facebook and Twitter pages, and reaching out to community members to help post events, announcements and blogs.

If you see me around town, be sure to say hello. If you have a question or just want to say "hi," you can reach me by email, Facebook or Twitter. You can also always email marplenewtown@patch.com with any questions, news tips or concerns.

Nice to meet you Marple Newtown!

Jennifer Kim was unquestionably one of the best editors to work with. The Patch is lucky that she is bringing her talents to the regional level.
