NEWTOWN SQUARE–The Marple Newtown High School basketball games for theCoaches Vs. Cancer Night, MNBA Night, and Senior Night will be rescheduled to Monday, January 28th due to the impending inclement weather on Friday, Jan. 25.
There will also be special presentations made to football coach Ray Gionta prior to the boys game and the school will be honoring four of their girls players for having achieved All Central in the fall season.

Join the Marple Newtown community on Monday at Marple Newtown High School for the annual MNBA Night to help benefit Coaches Vs. Cancer.
All players wearing their MNBA (Marple Newtown Basketball Association) shirt will be admitted free. This will be an exciting evening at the high school so come cheer on your Tigers. In addition to Coaches Vs. Cancer, Friday's game will be a youth basketball "blackout" night (students wear black shirts), and Senior Night for graduating four former MNBA players. The award winning Marple Newtown High School band will be in attendance pumping up the crowd.
The girls varsity game versus Radnor will start the evening at 6 p.m. Between games, MNHS Head Coach Ray Gionta will be honored by the district and others as the most successful coach in Marple Newtown High School in the nearly 100-year history.The boys varsity game versus Radnor will start at 7:30 p.m.
Coaches Vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Legendary North Carolina State Coach Jim Valvano brought the battle with cancer to center court every year since his untimely death of bone cancer in 1993.
