Newtown Township Police Chief Dennis Anderson said a maintenance worker from the condominiums was working outside his truck on Jan. 19 when he dodged a car that was coming down the hill out of the condominium complex.
However another car came down the same hill but slid down the hill due to icy road conditions, said Anderson, in which the worker dodged the second car by ducking behind his truck.
The second vehicle lost control of the wheel due to poor road conditions and hit the worker's maintenance truck, which was sitting on top of a bed of slush and ice.
The impact of the car collision spun the truck around in which the truck's attached plow hit both of the worker's legs causing "severe cuts on both," said Anderson. No other severe injuries were reported.
