Newtown Police Chief Hearing Postponed
The public hearing for Newtown Township Police Chief Dennis Anderson has been postponed indefinitely.
NEWTOWN SQUARE–According to Newtown Township Manager Mike Trio, the previously rescheduled hearing on July 24th for Newtown Township Police Chief Dennis Anderson has been postponed indefinitely.
According to Trio, on Monday, a new date has not yet been scheduled for the hearing.
Anderson's status as police chief is currently in question. The officials were unable to go into detail or talk much about Anderson's current situation–if he was suspended or not–Catania previously noted that Anderson had requested the hearing be public.
Catania previously confirmed that Anderson is currently still employed as the police chief of Newtown Township and he is on the payroll.

Let's show our support for a man who has devoted his life to public service and who has done a wonderful job for our township. When it comes down to it, that's what matters.

Local resident, I have to ask, have you even thought to consider the fact that many current CAREER long Newtown Officers have devoted their life to public service AND Newtown Township. They have also done a great job. Maybe they should be running the department? After all, they were acutally qualified for the job!
Have you spoken to any Newtown officers to see what their thoughts are on Anderson? I think if you took about an hour or your time to speak with them they may enlighten you on some facts about the department and Anderson's "leadership" or lack there of...
Just curious?

Looks like alot of time, money and energy being spent on trying to bring down a good man. As far as our officers, we appreciate the job they are doing, devoting their lives to public service and being paid well to do just that. If they have such beefs, why not let the public know??? Why all the secrets??? Meanwhile, tax dollars are disappearing by the truck load. This township is going to hell in a handbasket!

exactly what is going on with the Chief, i can honestly say, i hope nothing is wrong and i hope he stays, because i had a scary situation one week and Seargent McNeil and Chief Anderson went above and beyond when i walked into the station and they didn't even know me, just that i was new to the Township....... I hope it all works out... i would like to know what is going on and if we the public can help...

That's the problem, no one knows what is going on. Why suddenly is the public hearing for the Chief cancelled? Because there is no reason to suspend the Chief, if there was believe me, it would be on the front page of the paper. You are not alone is seeing that Chief Anderson genuinely cared for this township and its citizens. A choice few want Chief Anderson out and because of that, this township will loose one of our finest assets.

"The facts". It seems very strange that you accuse me to be a.k.a. Yet you name yourself "The facts". My name is what it is and that's why I signed it. You obviously are another story.
By the way, no beef, just what was explained to me after speaking with officers of the department. Its time for him to go.

Nobody knows what's going on because it's apparently a personnel issue and can't be spoken about Maybe it was cancelled at his request?
And it doesn't appear as if it's a "few choice" since NONE of the officers have come to his aide which is extremely rare in this type of case.

Have any of the officers come out against the Chief? If so, Mr. Jordan, point me in that direction and give me the names.
Nice try but no go.
