One of our Patch readers Mark Strohm captured the annual Memorial Day Parade in the Marple Newtown Patch area, which started from 10 a.m. and lasted until 2 p.m.

The parade began on North Malin Road and West Chester Pike in Broomall and ended at Glenwood Memorial Gardens. Spectators picked their spot along West Chester Pike to witness the parade of Color Guard Units from the American Legion Post 805, VFW 7390, and the General Smedley D. Butler Detachment 741 Marine Corps League.

The Marple Newtown High School Band, Paxon Hollow Middle School Band, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, public officials, fire companies and Ambulance Corps. from Broomall and Newtown Square also marched in the parade.
