Police: Voter Hits Car Before Hitting Polls

Three were reportedly transferred to a hospital in a two-vehicle accident on Lawrence Road in Broomall.

A two-vehicle accident occurred on the 200 block of Lawrence Road in Broomall at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012.

BROOMALL–At approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, Marple police responded to the 200 block of Lawrence Road in front of St. Pius X School for a reported two-vehicle accident.

According to police, the car's driver "wasn't paying attention" and had rear ended an SUV on the northbound lanes of Lawrence Road. The car's driver told police that he was "on his way to vote," according to police.

Three passengers in the SUV were reportedly transferred to a hospital for injuries. The SUV was towed from the location. The accident cleared in less than 30 minutes.
