Portion of Paxon Hollow Road Closed For Reid Funeral
Paxon Hollow Road in Broomall will be closed periodically from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for Garrett Reid's funeral.
BROOMALL–According to Marple police, Paxon Hollow Road between Maclarie Lane and Jamestown Road will be periodically closed to traffic between 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for the funeral of Eagles Coach Andy Reid's son Garrett Reid.
According to Marple police Lt. Frank Hannigan, all church overflow parking will be at Paxon Hollow Middle School. Police encourage motorists to avoid the 700 block of Paxon Hollow Road until noon. Officers will be on Paxon Hollow Road to assist motorists.
Services will take place at 10 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Broomall off of Paxon Hollow Road.
Garrett Reid, 29, the eldest son of Andy Reid, was found dead in his bed at the Sayre Park dorms at Lehigh University on the morning of Aug. 5.
Garrett Reid's death follows a struggle of almost 10 years with drug addiction and drug dealing. Reid was helping at Eagles training camp with players' strength training and conditioning. The death is under investigation.
