NEWTOWN SQUARE–Earlier this month, St. Anastasia School announced the school's Tot Lot, which is used by the preschool students, recently received a makeover.

With the help of the Andrew's Friends Fund and the Avellino family, who generously donated turf to help improve the Tot Lot, the young students celebrated their new playground with a prayer blessing.

According to the Andrew's Friends Fund website, the mission of the organization is to celebrate the life of Andrew Joseph Avellino and to spread the joy, love and adventure he so fully experienced while on this earth.

Andrew's Friends Fund seeks to provide opportunities for children and their families to enjoy precious moments together through community improvement projects and charitable donation. Proceeds will be used for the updating of existing or the creation of new playgrounds/areas and parks, in the greater Philadelphia area.
