BROOMALL–The investigation continues for the suspicious fire that occurred on 388 Reed Road in Broomall on Saturday evening.
According to Tony Cavarocchi, public information officer for the Broomall Fire Co., two separate fires were located in the multi-use commercial building on Reed Road. Several businesses including Elegante Limousine Service and an apartment were located within the building.
In addition to the two fires, Cavarocchi said an attempted fire occurred on a nearby parked vehicle that didn't ignite.
Cavarocchi said the cause of the fire is still undetermined and currently under investigation by the Marple Township Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division.
At least five vehicles were located inside the building as well, previously stated Fire Chief Carl Drake. No injuries were reported, but the building and vehicles sustained smoke and water damage.
Firefighters responded to the one-alarm fire around 9:19 p.m. Aug. 25 and was under control by around 10 p.m. The building was back in service by around 12:06 a.m., said Cavarocchi.
