This park is one of the newer parks in Marple Township, located off of Lawrence Road. The entrance is between Warren Boulevard and Hillside Lane. Veterans Memorial Park is dedicated to the veterans of the township who have fought in wars for the country. There is a memorial near the entrance of the park with the seals of the marines, navy, army and POWs. Throughout the park there are reminders of the local soldiers who have fought.
The park itself is located within the middle of a paved track, where walkers and runners can utilize. Beyond the track, there is a playground for the little ones and a few grills with picnic benches for a BBQ on a nice day.
Veterans Memorial Park has been the host to several Memorial Day and Veterans Day services, Easter Egg hunts, Junior Olympics, and more.
