NEWTOWN SQUARE–Prom season is in full swing at Marple Newtown High School. You've heard of surprise engagement proposals but what about surprise prom proposals?

At 8 a.m. on Friday, March 9, that's what Marple Newtown senior Wil Kauffman did with 10 of his buddies.

During Julie McFarlane's first period AP Physics class, Kauffman received approval–along with 10 of his friends–to pop the prom question to girlfriend Megan Weinberg.

Sauntering in with shades and snapping their fingers and singing to "My Girl" in a capella style, Kauffman–with flowers in hand–sings the harmony to the song and drops down on one knee to ask Weinberg to prom.

Weinberg's answer? "Yes."
