The polls will be open for the casting of ballots from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on April 25 for Primary Election Day. Should you be in line at 8 p.m. waiting to vote, the county assures that you will still be permitted to vote. But if you get in line once the polls have closed, voters will not be permitted to vote and will be strictly enforced.

Unofficial election results will be posted on the county website here. Make sure you click on the image "Unofficial Election Results" in the middle of the homepage. They will not include absentee ballots, provisional ballots or write-in votes. Results generally begin posting after 9 p.m.

If you're voting in a new ward or precinct, even if you've voted in a different district or precinct previously, you will be considered a new voter. New voters must present a photo ID or an acceptable non-photo ID, which may include a Delaware County voter registration card, bank statement, utility bill, firearm permit, paycheck or government check.

Not sure which precinct or ward you fall in? Check the state's voting website here to find the closest polling location to you. Simply fill out your:

  • County
  • City/town
  • Street name
  • House number

A search result will show the closest voting spot and it will even provide directions on how to get there.
