The Marple Newtown Youth Recreation Center (YRC), a
program of the Marple Newtown Joint Recreation Commission, will open its doors to 5th graders on Friday, January 25th. All students, regardless of residency, currently enrolled in the fifth grade are welcome to attend this special night where young people can meet and
socialize in a safe, supervised environment. Activities will include a DJ, dancing, and sports & games (table tennis, air hockey & foosball). Refreshments will also be available. The Center is open from 7:00pm to 10:30pm. Come out and join the fun! The Youth Center operates inside the Gauntlett Community Center in Newtown
Square (West Chester Pike and Media Line Road). The fifth grade fee is $7 per student. Regular rates apply for members and guests.

More About Robert C. Gauntlett Community Center
The Robert C. Gauntlett Community Center is located on Media Line Road in Newtown Square. The Center offers a variety of athletic opportunities including basketball, flag football, tennis, soccer, cheerleading, swimming, golf clinics and tee ball. They also offer educational programs such as drivers' education, babysitter training, sign language classes, digital photography, SAT prep, and Spanish classes. The Robert C. Gauntlett Community Center is also home to the Marple Newtown Players, a community theatre program.
