History of Newtown Square in Pictures - tonight at Dunwoody

We have had donations of wonderful old photos of Newtown Square over the years – from former police chief Stan Short to area historian Hilda Lucas.  We have gone through our collection to present a 300 year history of Newtown Square, selecting many of the “greatest hits” from our photo collection to illustrate the principal events and people in our local history.  History aficionado and history blogger Doug Humes will be providing play by play for the show, and long time resident Jan Elston will be providing color commentary, with her recollections of the people and places of Newtown and the stories that she has heard about them.  In addition, we urge long time residents to come out and feel free to offer their memories as well.

Please come out and join us for the show on Wednesday, May 21st beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Admission is free and all are welcome, so please come and bring a friend.  Refreshments will be served. Programs are held at the Dunwoody Village Auditorium (entrance located in Newtown Square on the south side of West Chester Pike at the intersection of Bryn Mawr Avenue).
