It's a busy week and weekend in and around Marple Newtown Patch. See what's going on.

There are lots of things happening this weekend. It's a weekend full of community events celebrating Easter. Put on your Easter bonnet and have some fun with egg hunts and lunch with the Easter Bunny. And for the adults this weekend, check out a bar night for the re-launch of Celebrity Boxing.

Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny Lunch

  • When: Wednesday, March 27 at 11:30 a.m.
  •  Where:  Marple Sports Arena, 611 Park Way in Broomall
  • Why Go: Get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny, enjoy a delicious lunch, and hunt for eggs
  • Cost: $5

Celebrity Boxing Re-Launch Party

  • When: Friday, March 29 at 9 p.m.
  •  Where: Club 1919, 1254 West Chester Pike in Havertown
  • Why Go: Broomall's Celebrity Boxing Promoter Damon Feldman will re-introduce his Celebrity Boxing brand along with his Celebrity Boxing Phone App on the Android Phone.

2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Luncheon

  • When: Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m.
  • Where: Media Borough Community Center, Tot Lot
  • Why Go: Hunt for eggs and then enjoy lunch with the Easter Bunny immediately following. Food, fun, and games for everyone.
  • Cost: Free

Children's Easter Egg Hunt

  • When: Saturday, March 30 at 11 a.m.
  • Where: Ridley Creek State Park, E. Bishop Hollow Rd and Chapel Hill Rd. in Media at the Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation
  • Why Go: Wear your Easter best, hunt for eggs and win prizes. Children 12 and under are welcome to search the fields for eggs with treats and surprises in them. But look for the golden eggs too for a chance to pick a prize from the farm barrel.
  • Cost: $8

Flower Sale

  • When: Saturday and Sunday, March 30 and 31, all day 
  • Where:  Granite Run Mall, 1067 W. Baltimore Pike in Media
  • Why Go: Support the Lima Fire Company's annual fundraiser. They will sell flowers in the mall's Route 1 parking lot.
  • Cost: Varies

 

Charlotte's Web

  • When: Saturdays at 11 a.m.
  • Where:Hedgerow Theatre, 64 Rose Valley Rd, Media
  • Why Go: Enjoy the musical adaptation of the E.B. White classic that tells the tale of the friendship between Wilbur the Pig and Charlotte the Spider.
  • Cost: $10
