Marple Newtown Community Band Spring Concert

  • Why Go: Under the direction of Anthony Wastler, the band will play classic concert pieces, marches and popular songs. Listen to music and enjoy snacks and door prizes.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Finding Her Footing 5K

  • Where: Delaware County Community College, 901 Media Line Rd, Media
  • Why Go: Support the Birthmother Fund and Adoptions From The Heart in this 5K run. AFTH works with pregnant women considering adoption. Each woman faces unique challenges and may find themselves in need of a little extra support in order to regain her footing. Awards will be given to the top runners, all kids race participants, and the top fundraisers.
  • Cost: $20

Delaware County Environmental Fair

  • When: Saturday, April 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Where: Penn Wood High School, 100 Green Avenue in Lansdowne
  • Why Go: More than 50 exhibitors will educate with the latest in energy-saving technologies, low-impact household products, healthy foods and activities that can positively change the way you live. There will also be electronics recycling and document shredding.

Spring Children's Consignment Sale

  • When: Friday, April 12, from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Where: Brookhaven Municipal Center Gymnasium, 2 Cambridge Rd, Brookhaven
  • Why Go: Find bargains on quality baby through teen items and also featuring maternity clothing.

Penncrest's Beauty and the Beast

  • When: Friday and Saturday, April 12-13 at 7 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14 at 2 p.m.
  • Where: Penncrest High School, 134 Barren Rd, Media
  • Why Go: Penncrest's will present Beauty and the Beast in the spring musical.

Upper Providence Democrats Luncheon

  • When: Sunday, April 14, from 12:45 to 3 p.m.
