Backyard Compost Workshop

- Where: Pennsylvania Resources Council, 3606 Providence Rd, Newtown Square
- Why Go: This workshop thoroughly covers the importance of composting, setting up a compost pile, proper pile maintenance and how to use finished compost. Each participant or couple will receive an Earth Machine Compost Bin with attendance.
- Cost: $50 per person, $55 per couple
MNHS Girls Basketball Adult Fundraiser
- When: Saturday, Nov. 10. 6:30 - 11 p.m.
- Where: St. Luke's Church
- Why Go: The girls basketball program will be having an adult social fundraiser featuring the band The Insiders Band. Help support the girls basketball team as they travel to Florida to play some early season games.
- Cost: $35

- Why Go: Sarovar Banka, raised in Narberth and a 1998 graduate of Episcopal Academy, will be screening his film, A Decent Arrangement, on Saturday afternoon as part of The Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival. Variety described Banka's film as "Vivid, surprisingly accomplished... version of the cross cultural romantic comedy... a wry twist on cultural confusion."

Delaware County Christian School's DC5K
- When: Saturday, Nov. 10 at 9 a.m.
- Where: Delaware County Christian School
- Why Go: Enjoy a run through the neighborhood adjacent to the school. The event consists of a 5K run and 1 mile fun run. Proceeds of the event will go toward financial aid for their students.
- Cost: $10 - $60
Annual Holiday Carnival and Santa's Arrival
- When: Saturday, Nov. 10 from Noon - 2 p.m.
- Where: Springfield Mall
- Why Go: The Annual Holiday Carnival features games, crafts, a cast of merry characters and of course, Santa's arrival! The first 100 children to visit Santa receive a special gift!
- Cost: Free
- When: Saturday, November 10, 6-9 p.m.
- Where: Downtown Media Borough
- Why Go: On the 2nd Saturday of every month, businesses on and around State Street in Media stay open late as part of a free arts event. Shops, galleries and cafes host local musicians or display the work of local artists.
