Milk & Cookies with Santa

  • When: Saturday, Dec. 8 from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m.
  • Where:
  • Why Go: Bring the kids and their wish lists so they can meet with Santa, have milk and cookies and dance and sing to their favorite  Christmas songs. 
  • Cost: Free

Episcopal Academy Tree Lighting

  • When: Friday, Dec. 7 from 4:45 - 7 p.m.
  • Where: Episcopal Academy
  • Why Go: Join friends and family at Episcopal's third annual Christmas tree lighting celebration! The event starts with an optional Jingle Bell Run, led by Ham Clark, at 4:45 p.m. Episcopal Academy will provide light refreshments, seasonal carols, music and even Nativity animals!
  • Cost: Free

There's No Place Like Home, Dorothy's Adventures in Oz

  • When: Dec. 7, 8, and 9
  • Where: Swarthmore United Methodist Church, 129 Park Ave, Swarthmore
  • Why Go: Adaptation of the delightful story of a girl whose big dreams takes her to magic lands only to find out what she’s been dreaming for is right there at home. Fridays at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays at 11:00 a.m., Sundays at 2 p.m.  Lunch with the cast on the 1st and the 8th for $5.00. Reservations highly suggested
  • Cost: All seats $9.

  • Where: Belmont Baptist Church 
  • Why Go: Remember the true meaning of Christmas.  Come out and witness a live nativity at the Belmont Baptist Church on Friday evening.
  • Cost: Free

Gingerbread House Decorating

  • When: Dec. 8 from Noon - 2 p.m.
  • Where: Newtown Public Library 
  • Why Go: Kids ages 2 and up, along with an adult, are invited to come decorate a graham cracker house.  The library will provide the supplies, you just need to bring your imagination!  
  • Cost: This event is free, but registration is required.  Please call 610-353-1022.

Spotlight Theater First Annual Holiday Fundraiser

  • When: Saturday, Dec. 8 from 7 - 10 p.m.
  • Where: Swarthmore United Methodist Church, 129 Park Ave, Swarthmore
  • Why Go: Come out and support our local theater company.  Enjoy appetizers, refreshments, and have fun shopping at a silent auction featuring a variety of items including Broadway memorabilia, designer household items, luxury brand cosmetics and more!  Stay for Associate Artistic Director Thomas-Robert Irvin’s performance of David Sedaris’s The Santaland Diaries, adapted for the stage by Joe Mantello and directed by Cindy N.Walton.  This is for mature audiences only.
  • Cost:  Free, but reservations recommended.
