Last Chance: Blood Drive, College and Cheerleading Info Sessions, 4-H Spring Fair and Open House

We've seen hundreds of events come and go in the community, but how often does one pass you by that you wish you hadn't missed out on? That's where we come in. Each week Marple Newtown Patch will post a quick reminder about the events, activities or important tasks whose deadlines have come.

What: Give back today. Consider donating your blood at the Newtown Square Presbyterian Church's blood drive.

When: Tuesday, May 1, at 2:45 p.m.

What: Does your child have school spirit? Do they like to cheer on your their athletes, tumble and compete? Then save the date and have your student consider to be a cheerleader at Marple Newtown High School this year.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PANIC NIGHT

When: Wednesday, May 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

What: Delaware County Community College will be hosting an college information session to high school seniors and parents about applying to the college and its enrollment process. The school's admissions and financial aid representatives will be on hand for the session.

Where: , in the STEM Center, Room 1403

Cost: Free

 

4-H SPRING FAIR AND OPEN HOUSE

When: Saturday, May 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

What: Delaware County 4-H will host a spring fair and open house at the Garrett-Williamson Foundation in Newtown Square. Visitors can see and touch the sheep, cattle, and poultry being raised by 4-H members as well as learn about the various programs offered. Bake sale items, snack bar and the farm gift shop will be available throughout the event.
