Update on Darby-Paoli Road Closure

The partially collapsed stone culvert that caused the closure of Darby-Paoli Road at The Willows Park could take three to four weeks to fix.

The partially collapsed stone culvert that caused the closure of Darby-Paoli Road at The Willows Park in Radnor Township, could take three to four weeks to fix, Patch learned Wednesday.

The damage to the culvert turned out to be a little worse than what was thought, but crews are working on it daily, said Charles Metzger of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Work was started two weeks ago after a permit was obtained from the Pa. Department of Environmental Protection. The Army Corps of Engineers also reviewed the proposed project.
