A Chance to 'Talk' to Delco SPCA Pets Up for Adoption at 'Doolittle'

Upper Darby Summer Stage is producing "Dr. Doolittle Jr." and has partnered with the Delaware County SPCA for an extra-special show on Wednesday, July 23.

On Wednesday, you have a change to talk to the animals -- and maybe make one a member of the family.

Upper Darby Summer Stage is producing "Dr. Doolittle Jr." and has partnered with the Delaware County SPCA for an extra-special show on Wednesday, July 23.

Prior to the Wednesday morning performance of the show, which starts at 10:30 a.m., the SPCA will bring in a variety of animals looking for their forever homes. Audience members will be able to pet and yes, talk, with the furry friends.

The animals will be at UDPAC from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. prior to the performance. Tickets start at $7 and can be purchased here.

“Dr. Dolittle, Jr.” is ideal for ages 4 and up and free babysitting is offered for those who are too young to enjoy the show quietly, the UDPAC says.

The Upper Darby Performing Arts Center is located in Drexel Hill, at 601 N. Lansdowne Ave.
