Lecture: Jewish Artists at the Barnes @ Temple Sholom in Broomall

Renowned Barnes Educator, Linda Robinson, to present "Jewish Artists at the Barnes" at  in Broomall.           

Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 PM, Temple Sholom in Broomall will host an evening lecture and slide show presented by special guest Linda Robinson. 

Ms. Robinson will speak on Jewish artists in the Barnes Collection. While the former Barnes Museum site is currently closed and the new Barnes Museum, set to open on the Parkway in early Spring 2012, this is a perfect opportunity to take a peek into the significance and connection of Jewish artists to the Barnes holdings.

Linda Robinson, MFA, is a renown docent and member of the Barnes Foundation Education Department where she currently teaches the second year course entitled "Traditions of Art: Connecting Art and Artists Across Time." She is a well-known art lecturer throughout Pennsylvania. Ms. Robinson is the recipient of two national awards for excellence in teaching and two fellowships awarded by The National Endowment for the Humanities. 

She was also awarded the Nora Levin's Educator Award for outstanding teaching in Holocaust Studies and a museum fellowship at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington.

Ms. Robinson will conclude her presentation with a question and answer period followed by refreshments. The cost is $10 for Temple members/$12 for non-members. All are welcome. Bring your friends. Reservations are recommended.
