- musicAppassionata is an exciting new international piano festival that will premier August 1 - 6, 2011. The festival program will include:
- performances,
- workshops,
- seminars,
- master classes,
- a competition for adult "amateurs" (those who do not earn their living by teaching or performing), and
- a wonderful recital by our amazing guest artist Gayle Martin Henry. Ms. Henry has had a distinguished career as a concert pianist, achieving international prominence as the sole American laureate of the sixth International Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow, and only the third American woman ever to reach the finals. She was one of the very last students of the famous pedagogue Mme. Rosina Lhevinne at the Juilliard School, where she was awarded the prestigious Josef Lhevinne Prize.
