The is planning a $49,000 fundraising effort. Contributions to the campaign will assist in covering operating expenses and help maintain library programs. Solicitation letters will be mailed throughout Newtown Square and Edgemont Township this week. The library enjoyed more than 104,000 library visits and a 7.5 percent increase in circulation in 2010. Contributions are tax-deductible and may be dropped off at the library or mailed to The Newtown Public Library at 201 Bishop Hollow Road, Newtown Sq., PA 19073.
