Broomall McDonald's To Start Remodeling April 23

BROOMALL–Signs have been up for a few weeks announcing the . The original date was posted for April 16th but, according to an employee at the Broomall location, the remodeling has been pushed back one week.

The Broomall McDonald's employee confirmed on Sunday, April 15, that the restaurant will begin construction on Monday, April 23, one week later than planned.

According to the employee, the construction will take approximately a month in two phases. The first two weeks will be dedicated to remodeling the lobby of the restaurant and the last two weeks will be dedicated to remodeling the drive-thru area of the restaurant.

Customers will not be able to access the restaurant during the first phase of the remodeling project for the lobby but will be able to access the drive-thru. During the second phase, customers will not be able to access the drive-thru but will be able to access the restaurant and lobby.

The remodeling project calls for more landscaping around the perimeter of the restaurant. In addition, the restaurant will add another drive-thru lane, making that two side-by-side drive-thru lanes with two menu boards and speakers at the Broomall location.

The remodeling of the Broomall McDonald's is part of the chain's nationwide campaign in changing their image from their well-known image as a fast food restaurant to more of a "casual dining" restaurant.
