Broomall McDonald's Without Power, Tosses Spoiled Food

The Broomall McDonald's will aim to reopen once a new shipment has arrived early Wednesday morning.

BROOMALL–Thousands were without power across the state, including thousands in the Marple Newtown area, according to PECO. The Broomall McDonald's on West Chester Pike and Sproul Road also faced their own power outage during Hurricane Sandy.

Patch caught up with the Broomall McDonald's crew Tuesday afternoon as they were throwing out spoiled food from their refrigerators and freezers. According to restaurant manager Jerry Harvey, the restaurant is expected to have a new shipment in by 8 a.m. Wednesday. The restaurant will reopen soon after it has been resupplied, said Harvey.
