Broomall's Swiss Farms Expands To The South

Swiss Farms, the drive-thru market and convenience store, will expand its franchise to add approximately 11 locations down in North Carolina.

BROOMALL–Swiss Farms, the iconic drive-thru grocery store off of West Chester Pike/Rt. 3 in Broomall, has announced it will expand its franchise down south.

Headquartered on Parkway Drive in Broomall, the franchise will add a minimum of six Swiss Farms stores in the Raleigh, NC, market, according to Convenience Store Decisions (CSD).

Swiss Farms has signed a multi-unit agreement with Cariello Family Grocers, said CSD.

In addition, CSD said the Broomall company is set to enter the Charlotte, NC, market this year, as the company begins to roll out its new prototype design in four new market areas.

According to CSD, Swiss Farms has signed an agreement with Lang Family Farms to open a minimum of five Swiss Farm stores over the next three years in Charlotte, NC.

The new prototype design involves floor to ceiling glass windows for drivers to view grocery items while waiting in the drive-thru, said CSD.

Since 1968, Swiss Farm Stores has been serving the area with its convenient drive-thru grocery stores. There are currently 12 Swiss Farms stores in Delaware County (Broomall, Havertown, Media, Springfield, Drexel Hill, Brookhaven, Clifton Heights, Swarthmore, Sharon Hill, Upper Darby, Folsom, and its newest location in Milmont Park.
