Edgmont's Sang Kee to Reopen as Azie

Sang Kee Noodle Bowl in the Edgmont Square Shopping Center in Newtown Square will close its doors Aug. 29 and reopen as Azie Southeast.

NEWTOWN SQUARE–Sang Kee Noodle Bowl, which has been , will soon close its doors and be revamped into Azie Southeast.

, owned by Dr. Win Somboonsong and Sultida Somboonsong of Win Signature Restaurants and located in Edgmont Square Shopping Center, will close on Aug. 29.

The restaurant, which will maintain ownership, will close for a week to make some decor changes and train staff on the new menu and will then have a soft opening on Sept. 5, according to Azie Southeast General Manager Byung Lee.

Azie Southeast's grand opening will be Sept. 19.

Win Signature Restaurants also owns and operates and Villanova, as well as Mixx in Villanova, Teikoku in Newtown Square and Mikado Thai Pepper in Ardmore. Chef Jimmy Chang, who helped to open Azie Media with Chef Kaz Mitsui, will be Azie Southeast's new chef.

"Azie is very successful so why not stick with something we're good at," Lee said.
