Grocery Delivery Service Comes to Broomall

Peapod began delivering groceries in the area on Sept. 30.

BROOMALL–Peapod, an online subsidiary of that delivers groceries to users' doorsteps, expanded its operation to and townships on Sept. 30.

It works like this: by logging onto www.peapod.com, users can order items from GIANT supermarkets for delivery the following day. First time Peapod users will be asked to enter a valid email address and zip code.

After placing a minimum order of $60 (you can search items by brand name, product type, recipe, or by special deals), users select a two-hour window for delivery time for the following day before entering their home address and specific delivery instructions.
