The PRC Farmers' Market runs every Wednesday through December and this week you can find the Freeland Market. Before you head out to the farmers market, located at Mostardi Nursery, see what the Freeland Market has to offer.
Name: Elise LeBoutillier
Business: Freeland Market
Business Location: 300 E. High Street in Pottstown
Year Started: 2011
How long have you been selling at the farmers market:
First year and first weeks at PRC Farmers' Market
What is Freeland Market:
We're a family run business and we do fresh sausage, smoked sausage, bacon and pâté, pastrami and pancetta.
What's in Season:
In September and October we'll bring more German sausages like knackwurst and bratwurst.
Most Popular Item:
Chicken tarragon sausage, which is chicken sausage with tarragon and white wine. And the spicy ones always sell well like, Chaurice, which is a spicy creole sausage. People sometimes buy it because they like the names, I think.
Why Bring Your Goods to the Farmers Market:
To get our name out it's nice to go out to the markets, plus it's fun. You're not in the shop. And we've been very successful here. Freeland Market is run by LeBoutillier, her husband, son and son-in-law and everyone takes a turn getting out of the shop and into the farmers market.
Best Part of the Farmers Market:
Having customers who can't get to Pottstown. To let them know about us and our sausages.
We're also at the East Goshen, Boyertown and Collegeville farmers markets. Find the Freeland Market on Facebook too and give them a Like.
