New 'FroYo' Shop Coming to Marple

SwirlFrutti will be opening its doors to the public soon in Broomall.

BROOMALL–The trend of frozen yogurt shops are expanding out to the suburbs of Philadelphia, including .

Signs for the frozen yogurt chain store SwirlFrutti have recently been posted on the open office window space on 2510 West Chester Pike in Broomall, just next to the and .

The frozen yogurt shop is set up in the same building as the –a non-profit organization established in 2009 that promotes the development of  physical, mental and spiritual health as well as specizlizing in Asian culinary, floral and healing arts. It also offers yoga, meditation and more.

According to Sharon Angelaccio, Marple Township secretary, SwirlFrutti's Broomall location received approval for use to set up the new frozen yogurt shop from the township back in June of 2011.

SwirlFrutti claims to offer authentic frozen yogurt, smoothies and more, according to its website. In addition to the Broomall location, a Swarthmore location is also set to open soon.

Though the frozen yogurt shop is prepping to open its doors to the public, a specific date has not yet been received. Angelaccio said the shop is currently still undergoing construction.
