Author Marisa de los Santos to Visit Delco Oct. 20

Author Marisa de los Santos will talk about her writing during an author luncheon on October 20 and attendees will be entered into a drawing for a Sony e-reader.

The Delaware County Library System is pleased to announce that author Marisa de los Santos will speak at the third annual Author Luncheon on Saturday, October 20. De los Santos will discuss her writing, including a soon to be released paperback edition of Falling Together.

Publishers Weekly described Falling Together as, "The mix of perfectly realized personalities and genuine emotion make this a winner.”

The luncheon will be held on October 20 from noon to 3 p.m. at Generations Restaurant in Media. Advance ticket purchase is required for this meal event.

Tickets are $20 (cash or check) and are available at all DCLS member libraries. Tickets may also be purchased online for $21 at the DCLS website www.delcolibraries.org.

Lunch is included in the ticket price, with a choice of sliced roast beef, rosemary chicken or eggplant rollatini. Attendees may bring their personal copies of any de los Santos book to be signed by the author. Copies of Love Walked In, Belong to Me and Falling Together will be available for purchase at the luncheon. Attendees will also be entered into a drawing for a Sony e-reader.

In her early-20s, Marisa de los Santos made her first visit to the Philippines, where her father was born. The author has made several return trips since then, and folded aspects of her native culture into the bestselling novels Love Walked In and Belong to Me. Now, in FALLING TOGETHER (on sale October 2), Cebu City and the surrounding islands of the Philippines come vividly to life in a profoundly, engrossing tale of lost friendships, long-kept secrets, and the importance of human connection.

Generations Restaurant is conveniently located at 9 State Road (at “Five Points”), Media, PA; free parking is available on the premises.

Book clubs are welcome and may reserve tables. For more information on ticket sales, contact Helen Subbio at DCLS, 610-891-8622. You must be present to win the Sony e-book reader.
