Archdiocese Announces Plans for St. Annies, St. Pius X Priests

Read below for the list of appointments and retirements in place for St. Anastasia and St. Pius X.

The future of the Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is beginning to take shape. Although , the archdiocese announced plans for pastors at both parishes.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced both Rev. Monsignor Philip J. Cribben, of in Newtown Square, and Rev. H. James Hutchins, in Broomall, as Pastors Emeriti.

In addition, Rev. Monsignor John J. Jagodzinski, Parochial Vicar with the status of Senior Priest at St. Pius X has announced his retirement, and will move on as Pastor Emeritus at St. Katharine of Siena Parish in Wayne.

Rev. Paul J. O'Donnell, who was School Minister of Cardinal O'Hara High School in Springfield will move on to Director of Spiritual Formation of the College Division of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. He will be replaced by Rev. Ugo B. Piasentin, L.C., as School Minister with continued residence with the Legionaries of Christ in Newtown Square.

The following appointments have also been made for pastors at the two parishes:

Rev. Michael A. Colagreco will lead as the new Pastor of St. Anastasia. Father Colagreco comes from St. Francis DeSales in Lenni, in which the parochial school was slated to merge with St. Thomas the Apostle in Glen Mills in September but spared from the merger.

Rev. William C. Kaufman will lead as the new Pastor of St. Pius X. Father Kaufman comes from St. Richard Parish in Philadelphia and was a first-year head of school at St. Richard, which merged with Holy Spirit School.

Additionally, Rev. H. James Hutchins, who holds Pastor Emeritus at St. Pius X will move on to Parochial Vicar with the status of Senior Priest at Holy Cross Parish in Springfield.

Rev. Albert J. Santorsola, who served as Parochial Vicar of St. Pius X will move to Parochial Vicar at Corpus Christi Parish in Lansdale. His position will be replaced by Rev. John R. Weber, who served as Parochial Vicar at St. Stanislaus Parish in Lansdale.

The moves will take effect July 2.
