Chance of Rain, Snow for Friday and Saturday

The Marple Newtown Patch area could get a coating of snow starting Friday night through Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, the Marple Newtown area will see some precipitation starting Friday night and into Saturday.

Here is the report as of 1:30 p.m. Friday:

Tonight: Rain, mainly after 11 p.m. Low around 32 degrees. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of rain and snow before 11 a.m., then a chance of rain between 11am and 4pm, then a chance of rain and snow after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37 degrees. North wind between 9 and 16 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday Night: A chance of snow. Partly cloudy, with a low around 16 degrees. Northwest wind between 16 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
